7-Day Dinner Planner
Online recipes are a very big help when looking for things that do not take long to fix (for our "short nites" - those nights when activities or school events take charge for the evening) plus you can try out some from popular recipe books before buying one (which can get expensive if you then do not use the ones you purchase). I am so very thankful for the basic Home-Ec. skills from my high school days (like planning a weekly menu for our dinners as well as our weekend breakfasts and lunches). Without Home-Ec. classes being made available in most school systems now such online resources like Family.go.com are today's way of assisting families that did not have the advantage of Home-Ec. in their school system. Thanks to the other's who have already posted comments: I had also wondered about those "meals on the go" sources but had never found the need yet to turn to one - not sure that I will either after the reviews from those that have tried them.

I've tried Dream Dinners and it was just so-so. Everything tasted pretty much the same--mostly because it was all based on processed/packaged foods. There wasn't anything we got really excited about.

Thank you for the tip, MommaFoley. I was skeptical about those places, though I'm sure they're great if you want to get ahead of the game. That is a wonderful recommendation on the book as well! I'll have to try it with my family.
